Esteemed Builder Domenic L. Germano Passes Away at 89

Domenic L. Germano, a prominent builder and real estate developer, passed away on September 28, 2025, at the age of 89 in his Tewksbury home. Germano was well-regarded in the local community for his significant contributions to the area’s development and construction landscape.

Born on March 17, 1936, Germano was the son of the late Carmelo C. Germano and Josephine (Melito) Bisazza. He was married to the late Frances A. (Milito) Germano, and together they raised a family that includes their daughter Jodi Germano and late sons Carmelo C. ‘Chuckie’ Germano and Joseph D. Germano.

A Legacy of Family and Community Involvement

Germano was not only a father but also a proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Erica Vozzella, Rudy Cataldo, Domenic Cataldo, Joseph Cataldo, Nicholas Germano, and Jillian Germano. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: Paul, Domenic, and Joseph Vozzella, along with Rudy Cataldo. Germano’s family, including his late brother Joseph V. Germano and surviving wife Carolyn, and siblings Maria Totilo and Cosmo Bisazza, express their deep sorrow at his passing.

Known for his strong work ethic and commitment to quality, Germano played a significant role in shaping Tewksbury’s real estate development. His projects often provided much-needed housing and community spaces, reflecting his dedication to improving the lives of residents.

Funeral Arrangements and Memorial Contributions

Calling hours for Domenic L. Germano will be held on October 6, 2025, from 16:00 to 20:00 at Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, located at 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. His funeral procession will commence on October 7, 2025, at 09:30, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 at St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover.

Services will conclude with entombment in the Germano Mausoleum at Oak Grove Cemetery, situated at 230 Playstead Road, Medford. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org, honoring Germano’s legacy while supporting a cause important to many.

The community remembers Domenic L. Germano not only for his professional accomplishments but also for his loving family and the positive impact he made throughout his life. His contributions to Tewksbury and its residents will be fondly remembered.
