Fantasy Football Recovery: 10 Players to Keep Faith In After Week 3

As Week 3 of the NFL season wraps up, several star players have faced disappointing performances, leading to concerns among fantasy football owners. Despite the setbacks, experts suggest that there is no need to panic about these ten players, who are expected to rebound in the coming weeks.

Key Players to Watch

In a surprising turn of events, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins struggled significantly during a blowout loss against the Tennessee Titans. With starting quarterback Joe Burrow sidelined, Higgins managed to secure only one catch for 15 yards from backup quarterback Jake Browning. However, he is anticipated to improve in Week 4, especially with star receiver Ja’Marr Chase facing tough coverage against reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Pat Surtain, on Monday night against the Denver Broncos.

Another player to monitor is Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren. For the first time in his career, Warren was held under 70 receiving yards, finishing Week 3 with just 38 yards. Despite this setback, Warren has established a vital role in the Colts’ passing game, tying for the team lead in receiving yards with veteran Michael Pittman Jr.. His consistent involvement offers optimism ahead of a crucial matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.

Meanwhile, Carolina Panthers wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan saw a dip in production during Week 3, catching three passes for 48 yards in a game where the Panthers managed just 224 total yards. Though he enters Week 4 with a questionable designation, McMillan’s high volume suggests he will likely bounce back.

Running Backs in Focus

Despite a heroic comeback victory for the Philadelphia Eagles, reigning Offensive Player of the Year Saquon Barkley struggled, recording only 46 yards on 18 carries. While the Eagles’ passing game found its rhythm, the running attack faltered. However, fantasy owners can take solace in Barkley’s talent as he looks to regain form against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next week.

Rookie running back Ashton Jeanty of the Las Vegas Raiders faced challenges as well, managing only 63 yards on 17 carries against the Washington Commanders. Concerns have been raised regarding Jeanty’s performance, largely attributed to a lackluster offensive line. Nevertheless, his volume and potential for a breakout game against the Chicago Bears in Week 4 keep him on the radar.

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara also struggled against the Seattle Seahawks, accumulating just 42 rushing yards and one reception. However, his overall production has been a pleasant surprise for fantasy owners in a struggling offense. With his volume expected to remain consistent, a rebound performance against the Buffalo Bills is likely.

Additionally, TreVeyon Henderson of the New England Patriots had a challenging outing, recording only 28 rushing yards and 19 receiving yards. After a two-fumble performance by fellow running back Rhamondre Stevenson, Henderson is expected to see an increase in touches, providing an opportunity for improvement in the coming weeks.

Finally, D’Andre Swift of the Chicago Bears logged only 33 rushing yards in a dominant win against the Detroit Lions. However, his role in the passing game, where he caught three passes for 45 yards, indicates that he remains a valuable asset. As the Bears’ passing attack continues to flourish, more opportunities in the run game should present themselves.

Despite disappointing outings in Week 3, these players possess the talent and opportunity to bounce back, offering hope for fantasy owners as the season progresses. With several key matchups ahead, the potential for recovery is high.
