City officials in Dallas have confirmed that a glitch in the DallasNow system is causing significant delays for residents and developers. The issue specifically affects the “Plan Review” tab, which is crucial for tracking applications that are currently categorized as “In Review.” This disruption began following the latest system update.
According to a statement from the Planning & Development Department, “We are aware of an issue with the ‘Plan Review’ tab not displaying for some applications that are currently in ‘In Review’ status within the DallasNow system following the recent update.” The department has assured the public that they are actively working to resolve this problem and restore full functionality.
The glitch was reported by users shortly after the update was implemented, leading to concerns about potential delays in processing building applications and permits. Many affected users have expressed frustration as they struggle to access vital project information.
In response to the inconvenience, the Planning & Development Department communicated, “Our team is diligently working to resolve the issue and will provide an update once full functionality has been restored. Thank you for your patience.” This acknowledgment comes as clients increasingly seek answers regarding their applications.
For those needing immediate assistance during this period, the Planning & Development Department encourages users to reach out through alternative contact methods. The department can be contacted at 214.948.4480 or visited in person at the Oak Cliff Municipal Center, located at 320 E. Jefferson.
