Lynn Local Election Ballot Positions Confirmed for November 2025

The ballot positions for the upcoming local election in Lynn, Massachusetts, have been finalized, as candidates prepare for the polls on November 4, 2025. The drawing of positions took place on Thursday evening, determining the order in which candidates will appear on the ballot.

Uncontested Seats and Candidate Order

Notably, several key positions are uncontested. The seats for the mayor and councilors in Wards 2, 3, 4, and 6 will proceed without opposition. This lack of competition simplifies the electoral process for voters in those areas.

For Ward 1, the candidates will appear on the ballot in the following order: Peter Meaney will be listed first, followed by Paul Gouthro. In Ward 5, Joshua Polonsky will take the top spot, followed by Cadeliz Paez.

In Ward 7, voters will see Jordan Avery listed before Billy Devin Jr.. For the councilor at-large positions, the candidates will be displayed in this sequence: Nicole McClain, Hong Net, Jean Michael Fana, Brian LaPierre, and Brian Field.

School Committee Candidates

The ballot will also include candidates for the School Committee, with the following order: Tristan Smith, Lorraine Gately, Brenda Ortiz McGrath, Julie Pyram Dorsey, Brian Castellanos, Lenny Pena, Eric Dugan, Andrea Satterwhite, and Stacy Bryant-Brown.

As the election date approaches, candidates and their supporters are expected to ramp up their campaigns in anticipation of voter turnout. The local election will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Lynn’s governance and community initiatives.

The finalized ballot positions not only provide clarity for voters but also set the stage for the political dynamics of the upcoming election. With a mix of contested and uncontested races, the electoral landscape in Lynn is poised for an engaging season.
