Motorcycling Santas are gearing up to make a festive journey today, departing from Taunton to support the vital work of Children’s Hospice South West at their facility, Little Bridge House, in Fremington. The convoy of bikers, dressed in red, is set to leave at 10:00 and expects to arrive at their destination around 14:30. This annual event aims to raise funds for the hospice, which provides essential care for children with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
Riders from across the regions of Devon, Somerset, Cornwall, Dorset, Avon, Wales, and Gloucestershire will participate in the event, showcasing a strong community spirit. The procession will take a midday break in the centre of South Molton, where they will join the Mayor’s Fundraiser for Children’s Hospice South West. This hour-long stop will feature carols, market stalls, and a festive Christmas Pannier Market, offering an array of activities for participants and spectators alike.
As the Santas continue their ride, they will make a brief visit to Venn Valley Winery near Landkey at approximately 13:20. This stop will provide an opportunity for the bikers to rest and engage with local supporters before resuming their journey to Little Bridge House.
The event not only highlights the joy of the holiday season but also underscores the importance of community involvement in supporting charitable causes.
