UPDATE: The 23rd annual Cover Your Acres Winter Conference is set to take place on January 20-21 at the Gateway Civic Center in Oberlin. This urgent gathering will bring together producers, consultants, and experts to tackle pressing agricultural economic issues that are crucial for farmers today.

The conference, organized by K-State Research and Extension, will feature critical sessions on weed management, soil fertility, and the ever-important topic of economic challenges facing farmers. “Weed management, soil fertility — and economics, of course — are always on farmers’ minds,” said Stacy Campbell, the Crop Production Agent for K-State Extension.

The conference will offer a comprehensive look into how crop markets are affecting producers, featuring discussions led by Dorivar Ruiz-Diaz and Dan O’Brien. Additionally, Lucas Haag and Augustine Obour will address intensifying crop rotations and incorporating forages into dryland systems.

Registration begins at 7:45 a.m. on both days, with sessions concluding at 5 p.m.. Early registration, which must be completed by January 14, costs $60 for Tuesday, $55 for Wednesday, or $80 for both days. After this date, the price increases to $80 per day. The fee includes lunch, refreshments, and educational materials.

With continuing education credits available for Certified Crop Advisors and CEUs for Commercial Applicators, this conference is not only a chance to learn but also an opportunity for professional advancement.
