A yoga studio in Adams County has officially relocated. Rise Yoga Gettysburg moved to its new address at 430 Baltimore St. in Gettysburg last month, transitioning from its previous location at the Phoenix Wellness Center in Highland Township. This move allows the studio to broaden its class offerings and accessibility to the community.
Owned by Alli Crowell, a native of Gettysburg, Rise Yoga aims to provide a diverse range of classes tailored to all fitness levels. The new facility will enable the studio to expand its weekly class schedule, introducing various formats including beginner-friendly sessions, chair yoga, restorative yoga, and multiple Vinyasa-style classes. Notably, the studio also offers specialized classes aimed at the brain injury community.
“Our dynamic team of instructors are trained in trauma-informed practices to serve a wide range of needs, abilities, and experiences,” Crowell stated in a recent news release. “We want to disprove the notion that yoga is only for folks who are ‘fit and flexible.’ In fact, it is quite the opposite.”
In addition to its regular classes, Rise Yoga Gettysburg provides several community-focused initiatives. The studio features pay-what-you-can offerings, a free monthly community class on the first Friday of each month, and weekly open studio hours at no cost. For participants who may not own yoga mats, the studio offers them free of charge for use during classes.
Crowell expressed optimism about the new location’s potential. “We hope that our new home in downtown Gettysburg will enhance our ability to serve the community and partner with local organizations and wellness spaces,” she said.
The relocation of Rise Yoga Gettysburg marks a significant step forward for the studio, positioning it to better meet the wellness needs of the local population while fostering an inclusive environment for all.
