Goodwill Industries of Michiana in Lake County is among six recipients, expected to create 42 jobs and divert nearly 200,000 tons of waste from landfills annually.
The Indiana Recycling Market Development Board confirmed that the grants, administered by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, will significantly enhance recycling infrastructure. Goodwill alone will receive $301,011 to recycle an additional 32,812 tons of materials each year. Other notable recipients include CT Polymers in Marshall County, which received $500,000, and Greencycle in Marion County with $453,989.
