Donald B. Kreseski, a dedicated community member from Harding, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on November 15, 2025, at the age of 42. His sudden death has left a profound impact on the community he served for many years.
Born on April 25, 1983, Donald was the son of the late Donald Kreseski, Sr. and Patricia Kreseski. He was a proud graduate of Wyoming Area High School, Class of 2001, and Luzerne County Community College. Known affectionately as Donny, he exemplified a kind and compassionate spirit, extending his warmth to his family, friends, and his beloved pets, a dog named Zeus and a horse named Pete.
Kreseski served as an Exeter Township Supervisor and was a volunteer fireman for the Harding Fire Company. His commitment to public service was evident in his nearly two-decade tenure as a Deputy Sheriff with the Luzerne County Sheriff’s Department. He also worked for Newell Fuel, contributing to various aspects of community life.
Remembering a Life of Service and Compassion
Donald Kreseski is remembered not only for his professional dedication but also for his personal relationships. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Serino Kreseski, his mother, Patricia Kreseski, and his sister, Caroline Kuchinskas. He cherished his role as an uncle to his nephew, Carter, who was a significant part of his life. Additionally, Kreseski leaves behind a supportive family network, including aunts, uncles, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Kreseski family has announced that friends and relatives can pay their respects on November 20, 2025, from 16:00 to 19:00 at Adonizio Funeral Home, located at 251 William St., Pittston. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on November 21, 2025, at 10:30 in the Church of the Holy Redeemer, situated at 2435 RT. 92, Falls. The church will open its doors for family and friends from 09:30 until the mass begins. Interment will take place at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
