Trump Diagnosed with Common Vein Condition, Health Declared Stable

UPDATE: President Donald Trump has been diagnosed with a “benign and common” vein condition known as chronic venous insufficiency, following noticeable swelling in his legs, as confirmed by White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt earlier today. This health update comes after the president attended the Cup World Cup soccer final in New Jersey over the weekend, where images showed him with visibly swollen ankles.

Leavitt stated that the president underwent a thorough health examination after observing mild swelling, revealing no signs of serious conditions such as deep vein thrombosis or arterial disease. She emphasized that the president’s physician has declared him to be in “excellent overall health,” providing reassurance amid public concern.

The diagnosis, confirmed by reputable sources including Johns Hopkins and the Cleveland Clinic, indicates that chronic venous insufficiency occurs when veins in the legs struggle to return blood to the heart efficiently. Leavitt detailed that a comprehensive examination was conducted out of “an abundance of caution,” including diagnostic vascular studies and bilateral lower extremity venous Doppler ultrasounds.

Leavitt read from a letter provided by the president’s physician, stating that the examination revealed “no evidence” of blood clots or arterial disease. The president, who is 79 years old, underwent multiple tests, including a complete blood count and a coagulation profile, with all results falling within normal limits.

Additionally, an echocardiogram confirmed normal cardiac structure and function, with no signs of heart dysfunction or systemic illness identified. Leavitt also addressed reports of minor bruising on the president’s hand, explaining that this is consistent with “minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking” and the use of aspirin as part of a standard cardiovascular prevention regimen.

This health announcement comes at a time when public interest in the president’s well-being is heightened. As concerns about his health circulate, the White House aims to provide transparency and reassurance.

Next steps involve ongoing monitoring of Trump’s condition as he continues his duties, with close attention to any changes in his health. The White House has committed to keeping the public informed about any further developments.

Stay tuned for more updates as this story develops.
