URGENT UPDATE: Providence Swedish is actively recruiting former patients and family members to join the Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC), an initiative aimed at enhancing patient care across its facilities. This call for new members comes as part of a commitment to improve patient experiences at Providence Medical Group clinics, Providence St. Peter Hospital, and Providence Centralia Hospital.
Established in 2011, the PFAC plays a critical role in shaping policies and practices that directly impact patient care. “Providence Swedish in South Puget Sound is committed to partnering with patients, families, and caregivers throughout the healthcare experience,” stated Chief Executive Darin Goss. He emphasized the invaluable perspective that PFAC members provide, ensuring that the patient’s voice is integrated into the decision-making process.
The PFAC convenes monthly, meeting on the first Friday of each month from noon to 2 p.m.. Meetings are held in person and are accessible via video conferencing, accommodating those unable to attend physically. Providence Swedish encourages individuals from diverse backgrounds to apply, reflecting the community it serves.
Prospective members will need to complete an application, participate in an interview, and undergo the volunteer recruitment process. Interested individuals can apply by visiting shorturl.at/qtVDM and emailing their applications to Trish Warnick at [email protected]. For further inquiries, contact Warnick at 360-791-3486.
This initiative represents a significant opportunity for individuals to make a lasting impact on healthcare services. More volunteer opportunities can be found on the Providence Centralia website at shorturl.at/q1d9s or the Providence St. Peter website at shorturl.at/ouREQ.
