During a recent interview with Nightcap, conducted by Fightful, professional wrestler Seth Rollins provided insight into his future with WWE. He disclosed that he has “a couple of years left” on his current contract, although he did not specify his plans following its conclusion.
Balancing Family Life and Wrestling Career
Rollins, who is a father to a four-and-a-half-year-old daughter, expressed his desire to spend more time with her as she grows older. He mentioned, “I don’t know if I want to do it into my 50s. I wouldn’t mind spending some extra time with her in a few years.” This sentiment highlights his commitment to balancing his professional obligations with family life.
Reflecting on his journey in wrestling, Rollins conveyed a deep appreciation for the industry. “I love this business; I’ve given my entire life to it,” he said. He acknowledged that wrestling has significantly shaped his life, allowing him to meet his wife and create a family. “I have my daughter because I met my wife through this business,” he noted, emphasizing the personal connections formed through his career.
Contributions to the Wrestling Community
Beyond his in-ring performances, Rollins has also made an impact through his wrestling school located in Iowa. He has created job opportunities for others in the industry, stating, “I’m able to provide jobs at my wrestling school down in Iowa for other people.” This initiative demonstrates his commitment to fostering the next generation of wrestlers.
As Rollins contemplates the future, he remains optimistic about his continued involvement in wrestling. “I imagine in some capacity I will stay involved one way or another for as long as I can,” he concluded. This statement suggests that regardless of his contract’s end, he intends to maintain a connection to the sport that has defined much of his life.
