On July 2, 2023, members of the Paradise Elks, Jan Keller and Elliott Peets, presented a donation of $2,000 to the Paradise Boys & Girls Club. This contribution is part of a grant from the Beacon Elks National Foundation, aimed at supporting community programs that benefit local youth.
The funds will specifically enhance Camp Jamoa, a seven-week summer camp designed for children in grades one through seven. The camp offers a comprehensive experience, including meals, snacks, and various engaging field trips. It serves as a vital resource, providing a safe and enriching environment for children attending the Paradise Ridge Elementary School.
Jan Keller highlighted the importance of community involvement, stating, “We are proud to support programs that make a difference in the lives of young people.” The Elks’ commitment to youth development reflects their ongoing dedication to fostering positive experiences for children in the area.
This donation marks another chapter in the Elks’ longstanding tradition of community service. The Paradise Boys & Girls Club has been an integral part of the local landscape, offering programs that promote social, educational, and recreational opportunities for youth.
To further enhance the sense of community, the club organizes a variety of activities throughout the year. These initiatives not only provide children with valuable experiences but also strengthen the bonds within the community.
In addition to the summer camp program, the Boys & Girls Club engages in various outreach efforts, ensuring that all children, regardless of their background, have access to enriching activities. The support from the Paradise Elks plays a crucial role in sustaining these programs.
As the summer rolls on, the partnership between the Paradise Elks and the Boys & Girls Club remains a testament to the power of community collaboration. The Elks’ financial support enables the club to continue its mission of empowering youth and fostering a safe, nurturing environment for all.
This donation encapsulates the spirit of giving that characterizes the community of Paradise, demonstrating how local organizations can come together to uplift the next generation.
