Families can enjoy two classic holiday specials from the beloved “Peanuts” franchise for free this season. Apple TV has announced free streaming windows for non-subscribers, allowing everyone to watch these animated favorites featuring Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and their friends.
The first special, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, will be available for free on November 15 and November 16, while A Charlie Brown Christmas will be free to stream on December 13 and December 14. This initiative comes as “Peanuts,” created by the late Charles M. Schulz, celebrates its 75th anniversary.
Celebrating a Timeless Tradition
Tara Sorensen, head of children’s programming at Apple TV, highlighted the significance of these characters and stories, stating, “These beloved characters and stories hold a timeless significance, resonating with people of all ages across the globe. And we are delighted that the iconic holiday specials will be available for everyone to experience, continuing this time-honored, comforting tradition.”
Apple TV has held exclusive streaming rights to the “Peanuts” animated library since 2020 and has offered free viewing windows for these holiday specials as part of its ongoing commitment to share the charm of this franchise.
In addition to the holiday specials, subscribers can access a wealth of “Peanuts” programming, including new originals produced in collaboration with WildBrain, Peanuts Worldwide, and Lee Mendelson Film Productions. These offerings are available year-round at tv.apple.com.
This year, the free streaming initiative allows families to gather and relive the joy and nostalgia associated with these timeless stories, reinforcing the enduring appeal of Schulz’s creations.
