Edris Enofe Announces Departure from WWE After Four Years

Edris Enofe, a prominent figure in WWE’s NXT tag team division, has announced his departure from the professional wrestling organization. In a heartfelt video shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Enofe revealed that he had contemplated this decision for an extended period, stating, “As of today, I will officially be leaving the WWE.” His announcement marks the conclusion of a significant chapter in his wrestling career, which began in 2021.

In his video, Enofe expressed deep gratitude towards everyone who contributed to his journey within WWE. He mentioned the “incredible people” he met, including fellow wrestlers, creative teams, medical staff, and coaches who played a vital role in his development during his four-year tenure. He emphasized, “I’m gonna trust my gut on this,” highlighting the importance of his decision. Enofe concluded his message with appreciation for his fans, stating, “And of course, to all the fans who have supported me…through all these years, thank you.”

The announcement received a wave of reactions from fans and fellow wrestlers. Many supporters wished Enofe well in his future endeavors. Notably, Ricochet from All Elite Wrestling responded with humor, suggesting, “Come to @AEW and ima slap you in the face. #Ahaa.”

Enofe’s journey with WWE began after he completed his service in the U.S. Navy. He quickly established himself as a standout performer, particularly when he formed a tag team with Malik Blade. The duo garnered significant attention during the 2022 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, where they emerged as fan favorites.

His wrestling activities faced a setback in August 2024 due to a shoulder injury that required him to step away from the ring. After months of rehabilitation, he made a comeback in February 2025, having been medically cleared to compete again.

Enofe’s departure comes on the heels of fellow NXT star Jazmyn Nyx announcing that she would not be re-signing with WWE, suggesting a period of transition for the NXT roster. As the wrestling community processes this news, fans are keenly interested in what the future holds for Enofe and his next steps in the industry.
