Altru Health System has officially moved the Altru Heart and Vascular Center from its clinic to its hospital in Grand Forks, a strategic decision aimed at improving patient care. The relocation to the hospital’s sixth floor took place on November 24, 2023, as part of Altru’s commitment to enhancing cardiovascular services.
The new facility is designed to foster a more seamless and coordinated patient experience. According to a press release from Altru, this move is part of their ongoing effort to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care by bringing key services closer to hospital-based resources.
Enhanced Services in a Centralized Location
The updated center consolidates essential cardiovascular services such as EKGs, vascular ultrasounds, and echocardiograms into one dedicated space. This centralization aims to provide improved comfort and convenience for patients.
“Our patients will be able to come to the sixth floor as a one-stop shop for heart and vascular care,” said Jodi Stauss, practice manager for Heart and Vascular and surgical specialty clinics at Altru. “Having our providers in a central location will help our team collaborate easily and will better serve the needs of our patients.”
The new environment also emphasizes patient comfort, featuring natural light and artwork that contributes to a healing atmosphere.
This relocation marks the latest enhancement to Altru’s hospital, which opened at the start of the year alongside a new behavioral health care center. The recent development follows the opening of the hospital’s parking lot earlier in November, described by Annie Bonzer, director of marketing and public relations, as the “final important stage in our new hospital replacement project.”
As healthcare systems continuously evolve, Altru Health System’s latest move underscores the importance of integrating services to enhance patient experience and care quality. By prioritizing accessibility and collaboration among healthcare providers, Altru aims to set a standard in cardiovascular care for the community it serves.
