URGENT UPDATE: The Bay Area News Group is calling for your votes in the highly anticipated girls Athlete of the Week poll, featuring standout athletes from August 25-30. Voting is open NOW and will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday, so act quickly to support your favorite!

This week’s nominees include impressive performances from local high school athletes who have made a significant impact on the field. You can vote as many times as you want before the deadline, but remember that votes submitted via email and those cast after the cutoff will NOT be counted.

Here are the incredible nominees shaping this week’s poll:

– **Samantha Botell**, Dublin Flag Football: The senior quarterback delivered an outstanding performance, completing 10 of 14 passes for 136 yards and four touchdowns in a commanding 41-12 victory over KIPP King.

– **Ellie Eisenhauer**, Monte Vista Flag Football: This standout freshman showcased her defensive prowess with seven tackles and a pass deflection in a thrilling 13-6 win against Alhambra, alongside additional impressive stats in subsequent games.

– **Katelyn Elliott**, Carlmont Cross Country: Elliott claimed a stunning wire-to-wire victory at the ASICS Cool Breeze Invitational, finishing the three-mile race in 17:27.1 and leading her team to a third-place finish.

– **Annaliyah Felix**, Andrew Hill Flag Football: Felix opened her season with a bang, passing for 108 yards and three touchdowns in a dominant 24-0 win over Independence.

– **Kalliana Flora**, Santa Clara Flag Football: The sophomore shone despite a narrow loss, tallying 184 receiving yards on nine catches and a touchdown in a 20-19 defeat against The King’s Academy.

– **Gillian Mabilin**, MacDonald Volleyball: Mabilin led her team to a season-opening sweep with seven kills, seven digs, and six aces in a 3-0 victory against Stratford Prep.

Additional nominees include standout performances from **Natalie Miyamoto**, **Elle Obenour**, **Quinn Pierce**, **Paige Purcell**, and **Abigail Purvey**, showcasing the incredible talent within the Bay Area.
