URGENT UPDATE: The skyline of Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia is on the brink of transformation as the first pieces of a revolutionary roller coaster have just arrived at the park. The highly anticipated ride, set to debut in 2026, promises to deliver an exhilarating off-road motorcycle experience over rugged terrain, marking a landmark addition to the park’s attractions.
Latest reports confirm that support beams for this innovative coaster have begun arriving at a designated staging area, sparking excitement among thrill-seekers. “We are thrilled that fans celebrate even a piece of track received to the park,” officials from Six Flags Magic Mountain stated. “We look forward to sharing details and progress updates soon. There is so much more to come,” they added.
This announcement comes as part of Six Flags’ ambitious plan to invest $1 billion in new rides across its parks, with plans for the new coaster first unveiled in November 2024. The ride, referred to as the “Vekoma Thrill Glider Roller Coaster,” is designed to provide a unique suspended motorbike experience, a first for North America.
Authorities from the Los Angeles County Planning Department granted construction permits in January, clearing the way for the project. However, progress has faced hurdles; there are concerns about potential delays due to stalled work after the initial site clearing of the former Golden Bear Theater.
Insiders note that for the park to meet its anticipated summer 2026 opening, installation of the coaster track and supports should have commenced by now. If not, a late 2026 opening remains a possibility.
As the excitement builds, fans can expect more updates soon on this groundbreaking attraction. Six Flags Magic Mountain is also teasing additional new attractions, making it a pivotal time for the park as it seeks to enhance its already impressive lineup of 19 roller coasters.
