Peninsula Center Library Gift Shop Launches Holiday Shopping Event

The Peninsula Center Library is set to kick off the holiday shopping season with its Annual Gift Shop Holiday Shopping Extravaganza on December 4, 2024. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., visitors can explore a variety of unique gifts at the library’s charming gift shop, strategically located just to the right of the library’s entrance.

The event, organized by the Peninsula Library Friends Foundation, aims to support the Palos Verdes Library District. All proceeds from the gift shop will directly benefit the district’s three libraries: Malaga Cove, Miraleste, and the Peninsula Center Library.

Local residents have praised the gift shop for its distinctive offerings. “The gift shop is a hidden gem,” stated Deirdre Montgomerie, a resident of Palos Verdes Estates. “This little shop with a big heart has a treasure trove of unique gifts celebrating diverse cultures and showcasing the incredible local artists in our community.”

Shoppers can expect to find a wide array of merchandise, including eye-catching jewelry, candles, bags, ceramics, and intriguing gadgets. Nancy Yang, a resident of Rancho Palos Verdes, shared her enthusiasm: “I brought my son to the library gift shop and was amazed at the collections they have. Browsing little trinkets and quirky finds, we loved everything we saw.”

In addition to the holiday shopping event, the Peninsula Library Friends Foundation has launched its 2025 Annual Appeal initiative to raise funds and engage the community in support of library services. The foundation’s mission focuses on maintaining the vitality of the Palos Verdes Library District, ensuring that it remains a valuable resource for residents.

Local resident Rich Black expressed his appreciation for the shop, saying, “I enjoy stopping by the gift shop in the Peninsula Center Library to pick up gifts and greeting cards, and I am happy knowing that my purchases support our library programs and services.”

The Peninsula Center Library is located at 701 Silver Spur Road, Rolling Hills Estates. The shopping extravaganza promises to be a festive occasion, drawing both seasoned shoppers and new visitors eager to discover the unique offerings of this beloved local gift shop.
