GENEVA, Ill., July 1, 2025 — Iteris, Inc., a leader in smart mobility infrastructure management and part of the Almaviva Group, announced today that it has been awarded a three-year contract renewal by the Kane County Division of Transportation (Kane County DOT). This renewal supports a comprehensive initiative aimed at enhancing smart mobility, safety, and sustainability across the county.
Under the renewed agreement, Iteris will oversee management and operations at approximately 140 signalized intersections and flashing beacon locations, as well as 1,400 street light locations. The contract also includes the county’s centrally controlled advanced traffic management system (ATMS) network. Key responsibilities for Iteris include traffic signal system monitoring, operational troubleshooting, signal coordination, traffic studies, and support for the arterial operations center, alongside electrical maintenance supervision and other technical services.

This contract renewal extends Iteris’ ongoing partnership with Kane County, which began in 2018. The collaboration has focused on implementing Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO) strategies designed to reduce travel times, fuel consumption, and emissions, while enhancing safety and mobility for all road users.
