Italian model Pamela Genini was tragically found dead after being allegedly stabbed 24 times by her former partner, Gianluca Soncin, aged 52. The incident occurred on the evening of October 14, 2023, in her apartment in Milan, according to local reports from Il Fatto Quotidiano and other credible sources.
Witnesses reported hearing screams and desperate pleas for help coming from Genini’s residence. Neighbors claimed they attempted to intervene as they observed the violent confrontation unfolding on the third-floor balcony. It was reported that Genini had been on a call with another former partner when she discovered Soncin inside her home. He allegedly used a duplicate key to gain access in the weeks leading up to this tragic event.
As the situation escalated, the second former partner of Genini dialed emergency services after hearing her terrified reaction upon seeing Soncin. Just prior to the arrival of police, Genini attempted to mislead the authorities by answering the intercom with “It’s Glovo,” suggesting a delivery. Unfortunately, by the time officers and firefighters forced their way into the apartment, Genini had already succumbed to her injuries.
According to Il Giorno, the couple had been arguing when the altercation became lethal. Reports indicate that Genini suffered multiple stab wounds, including injuries to her neck, back, chest, and limbs. After the attack, Soncin reportedly inflicted wounds on himself, slashing his throat before emergency responders arrived.
Currently hospitalized at Milan’s Niguarda hospital, Soncin is in non-life-threatening condition and faces severe charges, including murder aggravated by stalking, premeditation, and femicide. Notably, he has chosen to exercise his right to remain silent during the investigation.
Authorities have revealed that Genini and Soncin’s relationship had deteriorated prior to the incident. Testimonies from acquaintances suggest that Soncin had a history of stalking Genini, alongside allegations of physical abuse and threats. The couple had been involved for over a year, with Genini reportedly planning to end the relationship at the time of her death.
Before this tragic event, Pamela Genini was known for her work in high-fashion campaigns in Milan. She co-founded the swimwear brand SheLux and was involved in a luxury real estate business. Genini also gained visibility as a contestant on the Italian reality dating show The Island of Adam and Eve.
