Drake has achieved a remarkable milestone as his single “What Did I Miss?” ascends to the top of Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart, marking his 42nd No. 1 on the ranking. The song reached this peak in just six weeks, propelled by a 13% increase in plays across U.S. rhythmic radio stations during the tracking period from August 8 to 14, according to data from Luminate.
This latest accomplishment extends Drake’s record for the most No. 1s on the Rhythmic Airplay chart since its inception in October 1992. His nearest competitors include Rihanna with 17 No. 1s and The Weeknd with 16.
Drake’s Rapid Ascent
“What Did I Miss?” is Drake’s third chart-topper of 2025, following the two-week reign of “Nokia” in May and the one-week success of “Somebody Loves Me,” featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR, in July. The new single’s quick rise to No. 1 places it among the fastest climbs in Drake’s career, tying with five other songs that also reached the summit in just six weeks. These include his collaboration with Rihanna on “Work,” and his hits “One Dance,” “Nice for What,” “Way 2 Sexy,” and “Rich Baby Daddy,” featuring Sexyy Red and SZA.
Notably, Drake’s singles “God’s Plan” and “Toosie Slide” achieved the top position in only five weeks. His fastest ascent remains with “In My Feelings,” which reached No. 1 in its fourth week.
Continued Momentum
In addition to its success on the Rhythmic Airplay chart, “What Did I Miss?” has climbed to No. 2 on the audience-driven Rap Airplay chart, reflecting a 10% rise in listenership. It also moved up to No. 6 on the plays-based Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, gaining 9% in plays.
Drake is not resting on his laurels, as he also has another track making waves on the Rhythmic Airplay chart. His collaboration with Central Cee, titled “Which One,” advanced from No. 29 to No. 23 in its second week on the chart, benefiting from a significant 49% increase in plays.
With this ongoing momentum, Drake continues to solidify his position at the forefront of the music industry, showcasing his ability to connect with audiences across various platforms.
