Bravo is set to launch a new spinoff series titled The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip in 2026, commemorating the 20-year legacy of the Real Housewives franchise. The announcement was made by Andy Cohen during the “Ask Andy” panel at BravoCon 2025. This cross-country journey aims to celebrate the franchise’s most iconic women while paving the way for its next chapter.
While a specific release date has yet to be confirmed, the series promises to feature a selection of beloved Housewives from previous seasons as they visit notable locations tied to the franchise’s history. The adventure will commence in Orange County, California, where the original series began, and will conclude on the East Coast, with several memorable stops planned along the way.
Frances Berwick, Chairman of Bravo and Peacock Unscripted, expressed her excitement about the forthcoming series. In a statement released on November 16, 2025, she highlighted the cultural impact of the franchise, stating, “For two decades, The Real Housewives has amplified women’s voices, spotlighted their ambition, humor, and strength, inspiring millions with their unapologetic authenticity.” She referred to the new series as “a love letter to the women who turned a reality television show into a cultural phenomenon — and the fans who’ve been there for every laugh, gasp, toast, and table turn.”
The upcoming show follows the success of the Ultimate Girls Trip, a previous spinoff that premiered in November 2021. The first season featured notable figures such as Cynthia Bailey, Teresa Giudice, and Ramona Singer during their vacation in Turks and Caicos. The second season, which aired in June 2022, brought together former Housewives including Vicki Gunvalson and Brandi Glanville at Dorinda Medley’s Blue Stone Manor in Massachusetts, earning the subtitle “Ex-Wives Club” due to its all-former cast.
The third season, released in March 2023, took viewers to Thailand, featuring a new ensemble including Gizelle Bryant and Porsha Williams. The fourth season premiered in December 2023, showcasing another group of New York City alums traveling to Saint Barthélemy.
Additionally, the franchise has faced some controversies. A lawsuit filed in January 2024 by Caroline Manzo accused Bravo and its production teams of encouraging a culture of excessive drinking that led to inappropriate behavior during filming. Manzo claimed that she was subjected to unwanted advances by Glanville. Glanville’s legal representatives responded, denying the allegations and stating that their client was innocent of any wrongdoing.
In April 2024, producer Lisa Shannon addressed the lawsuit in court documents, asserting that Manzo had expressed she felt “disrespected” rather than violated. Shannon emphasized the production team’s commitment to ensuring a safe environment for all cast members.
While no new details about the future of the Real Housewives of New York City franchise were revealed at BravoCon 2025, Cohen indicated that updates are forthcoming. The excitement surrounding the upcoming Ultimate Road Trip promises to keep fans engaged as the franchise continues to evolve.
