Kathy Galardi, a cherished member of her community in Ashley, Pennsylvania, passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 73. Known for her grace and enthusiasm, Kathy inspired those around her to embrace life with joy. Although her music may have ceased, the dance she instilled in others will continue to resonate.
Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Stacey Galardi, in 1988, as well as her parents, Leonard and Gertrude Glennon, and several siblings and family members. She is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Joseph Booker Galardi Jr., their son Jeffrey Galardi, and his partner Alessa McHugh, along with numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends she considered family.
Born on October 22, 1952, Kathy dedicated her life to serving others. Her early employment included roles at local family businesses such as Clarkes and Peruginos. Yet, her true calling emerged in 1994 when she began volunteering for the Bellas family, particularly for their son, Jared Bellas. In 1995, she joined the staff full-time and later trained at The Institute for the Achievement of Human Potential in Philadelphia.
Kathy’s life took a challenging turn in 1999 when she was diagnosed with stage three bladder cancer. After enduring two and a half years of chemotherapy, she was declared cancer-free in 2007. Her commitment to Jared remained unwavering, and in 2011, she became his legal guardian, working alongside Nicole Okuniewski as primary caregivers.
Kathy’s ability to find beauty in the world was evident in her daily life. She often took evening walks, providing a compassionate ear and warm embrace to those she encountered. Her enthusiasm for life was shared with her husband, son, and daughter-in-law, especially during their cherished Thanksgiving traditions in New York City. They explored the city together, creating lasting memories through events like Broadway shows and leisurely brunches.
The impact Kathy had on her community was profound. She lived as if every day was a gift, a philosophy she shared with others through her kindness and genuine love. As she often said, “Drink in the beauty of the world.”
