Amanda Bynes has publicly denied a viral TikTok video that claims she was pregnant with former Nickelodeon executive Dan Schneider‘s child at the age of 13. In statements to TMZ, Bynes asserts that the video, which has gained significant attention online, is fabricated and not created by her.
The TikTok video in question appears to suggest that Bynes is making serious allegations against Schneider. However, she clarified that the content does not originate from her official social media accounts. Bynes emphasized that the video is a misrepresentation, stating, “It’s altered and full of BS.” She highlighted that the first clip used in the TikTok was taken from a recent Instagram Story where she was simply interacting with her current boyfriend.
Bynes pointed out that the video editor manipulated her footage to create misleading narratives for the sake of gaining views. The edited version abruptly cuts away from her original context, distorting the message she intended to convey.
In the backdrop of this controversy, Schneider is currently involved in a legal dispute regarding the documentary Quiet on Set. He is suing the producers for defamation, alleging that the film inaccurately portrayed him as a child sexual abuser, thereby damaging his reputation. This lawsuit follows accusations from former All That cast member Lori Beth Denberg, who has claimed that Schneider acted inappropriately towards her during their time together on the show. Schneider has denied these allegations, asserting that Denberg exaggerated the circumstances.
As the situation continues to unfold, Bynes’s denial serves as a reminder of the potential impact of viral misinformation on individuals’ lives and reputations. The intersection of social media and celebrity culture often leads to rapid dissemination of unverified claims, highlighting the importance of fact-checking before sharing such content.
