Driver Soars Over Raised Bridge in Dramatic Police Chase Escape

URGENT UPDATE: A driver dramatically went airborne over a raised bridge in an attempt to evade police in Seattle, Washington, earlier today. The incident unfolded just after noon on September 17, when officers from the Seattle Police Department initiated a high-risk stop on a vehicle bearing a stolen license plate near 10th Avenue East and East Boston Street.

As police closed in, the driver swerved into oncoming traffic, breaking through a safety gate before accelerating onto the partially raised drawbridge. Eyewitnesses were left stunned as the car soared through the air, landing on the other side of the gap. Following the daring escape, the vehicle continued northbound but was later found severely damaged and abandoned near Pasadena Place East.

Authorities confirmed that no arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation is ongoing. “This was an incredibly reckless act that could have resulted in serious injury or worse for both the driver and innocent bystanders,” a police spokesperson stated.

The shocking nature of this chase has left the community rattled, as residents express their disbelief over the driver’s audacity. Local officials are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

As the investigation unfolds, police continue to search for the driver, emphasizing the importance of public safety. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
