Where is the new Love Island villa? Winter series begins in South Africa

The new series of Love Island is now underway with the new Islanders getting settled into their new surroundings…a luxury villa.

Nearly six months have now passed since Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea won Love Island 2019 and, while unlike Molly-Mae & Tommy and Maura & Curtis, they didn’t last long on the outside, Cupid is getting ready to take aim earlier than ever.

Ever since it was announced last year that Love Island would air two series for the first time in 2020, excitement has been building – as were the rumours about who might be heading into the villa for the show, which will be hosted by Laura Whitmore.

Well now the new Love Island lineup are officially in the villa. Sunday’s new series launch show will see the Love Island girls enter ahead of the first coupling up and then the bombshell of two late arrivalstwins Eve and Jess Gale.

The £5.3 million South African villa is five times the size of the ITV show’s Majorcan retreat.

Based in Constantia, Cape Town, the multi-level property boasts a new feature called The Dog House.

Islanders booted out of the communal bedroom will be relegated to a pull-down bed they will be forced to make themselves, reports The Mirror.

There is also a boys’ dressing room to let the men bond, and a large staircase.

The fire pit makes a welcome return to host the show’s famous dumpings.

Outside decks on three levels allow private chats while the kitchen has extra seating.

The garden’s coloured bean bag chairs also make a comeback this year, where in the past islanders have done most of their daytime bitching and flirting.

When things get a little too heated, the singletons will be able to make use of a huge swimming pool and patio area that overlooks the stunning Cape Town countryside.

And after taking a dip, the rows of sunbeds should provide the perfect spot for the islanders to work on topping up their tans.

In previous years, the Islanders have had to make do with only a shower in the washroom, but this year they will have full use of a huge whirlpool to bathe in.

Another hot tub has been conveniently positioned in the notorious hideaway.
