Former Miss Universe Australia Renae Papadopoulos has revealed she is moving home to Perth.
While the model is in town for the holiday season she and her new husband, Andrew, have been shopping for more than just Christmas presents, purchasing land for their new home.
“We are starting to build here (Perth) now,” Papadopoulos confirmed to AAA Weekend.
“It will probably take about, another 18 months to two years, but it’s definitely in the pipeline that’s for sure.
“I always wanted to end up back in Perth, I mean I originally only wanted to go for Sydney for about a year and it’s been six years now.”
The newlyweds, who tied the knot in a stunning November ceremony in the Hunter Valley, are looking forward to the move that will bring them closer to the beauty queen’s WA-based family.
Papadopoulos, whose maiden name is Ayris, will relocate from her fitness superstar husband’s native State of NSW to north of the Swan River, along the coast.
“He’s (Andrew) up for a change, he’s been central coast his whole life and Sydney recently, he does lots of travelling with his work so he can work from anywhere which is great,” she said.
The 29-year-old, who is the new face of the number one Korean Aesthetic Skincare Brand AHC, hopes to continue her modelling career where it started.
“We don’t really know what it’s like being here full time with work, definitely mainly all my work is in Sydney at the moment … obviously I’m going to reconnect when I move back to Perth which will be great,” she said.
