A social media sensation once linked to an Aussie spin king Shane Warne has revealed she’s been the target of identity theft.

Emily Sears has a staggering 4.8 million followers on Instagram.

And she revealed to all of them that someone purporting to be her had been flicking around messages on social media.

A message from one fake account reads: “Hey sweetie, thanks for your wonderful comment and like on my Instagram page.

“This is my official chatting account with families and fan (sic), so if you wanna know more about me you can chat me up on here.”

Sears warned her followers the message was not from her.

“This isn’t and never will be me,” the 34-year-old shared, together with a screenshot of a message sent from the fake account, claiming to be the model.

“Please report any fake accounts if they (direct message)!”

Previously, Sears was romantically linked to Australia’s greatest bowler, Shane Warne.

The pair were photographed dining together in Los Angeles.

In 2016 she garnered attention after shaming men who sent her unsolicited pictures of their genitalia.

Her response was to browse their social media accounts and send them back photos of their female family members and wives.
