Australian coal exports delayed in China

Australia is seeking an explanation from China after coal export unloading times almost doubled to 40 days.

Trade Minister Simon Birmingham says reports of a ban on coal exports are false, with suggestions delays were retaliation for diplomatic tensions based on conspiracies.

“There remains some issues around the timeliness of processing through ports and we’re eager to understand some of those delays,” Senator Birmingham told Sky News on Sunday.
